How a Vacuum Flask Is Actually Made

A look inside the line: forming, welding, vacuum, finishing, decoration and packing.

This guide shows how a vacuum flask moves through the Jupeng production line. The chosen material, construction and approved sample remain with the order through these stages.

1. Forming the Bodies

Stainless tube is formed into the inner and outer bodies, with the neck and base shaped for the selected model. The material and dimensions are kept with the product and quotation.

2. Welding Inner and Outer

The inner and outer bodies are joined at the mouth as part of forming the sealed vacuum body. The model and production reference determine the selected arrangement.

3. Drawing the Vacuum

Air is drawn out from the space between the walls and the port is sealed, creating the vacuum cavity. We can show the relevant production steps for your selected body.

4. Insulation Testing

The vacuum bodies are checked before coating and assembly, so anything needing attention can be addressed while the order is still in production.

5. Coating and Finishing

Bodies are cleaned and then coated — spray paint, powder coat or electroplating — and cured. Colour matching and even coverage are checked against the approved sample.

6. Branding, Assembly and QC

The selected logo is applied, lids and accessories are assembled, and the finished piece is compared with the approved reference before packing. If your order needs an inspection, share the plan early so it can be coordinated with the schedule.

The body, assembly, finish and decoration are planned around the selected model. We keep the approved sample and artwork as the references through production.

We can discuss a photo or video walkthrough or your appointed inspection with the order. The applicable minimum depends on the selected model, colour and decoration.

Frequently asked questions

The process described here checks the vacuum body before coating and assembly. The order reference and agreed inspection plan define which checks apply to the selected model and production run.
The process includes forming the inner and outer bodies, joining them, creating and sealing the vacuum space, then finishing and assembly. The selected model determines the applicable construction details.
The stainless-steel tube is formed into the inner and outer bodies, with the neck and base shaped for the model. Confirm the material and dimensions from the selected model specification.
Air is removed from the cavity between the inner and outer walls and the opening is sealed. Check the selected model's stated construction; double-wall alone does not establish vacuum insulation.
Review the selected exterior finish, colour reference and logo together on the proof or sample. Keep the approved references with the model and packing details before confirming the order.
Record the model, capacity, starting temperature, fill level, ambient temperature, elapsed time and lid position with any result. Compare results only when the stated test conditions are clear.
After hydroforming or deep-drawing the inner SUS 304/316 liner and outer shell and welding them at the neck, flasks enter a high-temperature vacuum brazing furnace (~500 °C) where air is evacuated from the inter-wall gap and the bottom evacuation port is hermetically sealed, followed by 100% thermal retention testing before coating.
