Where the insulation comes from

We Started by Making the Part Other Factories Bought In

Travel mugs are where this factory began, and it began one layer deeper than most suppliers. Before we sold a finished cup under our own name, we manufactured the vacuum liners that other factories built their travel mugs around — the inner vessel, which is the hardest part of an insulated mug to get consistently right. Their names went on the outside. The insulation inside was ours.

That is not an origin anecdote for the About page; it changes what we can tell you at quoting stage. Vacuum performance is decided at the liner — the draw, the weld, the wall thickness — and a supplier who buys liners in can only pass on what the datasheet claims. We can tell you why a given model holds what it holds, and we catch a marginal draw or a weld that will not survive a hundred dishwasher cycles at the liner stage rather than after your container has landed.

It also left us with tooling. Decades of building mugs means we still run moulds for classic shapes that have quietly gone out of production elsewhere — the discontinued café mug a brand wants to bring back, the exact commuter silhouette from a range retired years ago. If you are chasing a shape you can no longer source, send a photo before you budget for new tooling. There is a real chance the mould is already on our floor, which saves you both the cost and the 60 days.
