How Much Does a Custom Water Bottle Actually Cost?
The real cost drivers behind a factory quote — material, MOQ, branding, packaging, tooling and freight.
The model, construction, quantity, colour, artwork, packing and shipping terms determine a custom bottle quote. Send those choices together so we can compare the options and give you figures for your own budget.
Custom drinkware in production — cost is built from material, branding and volume
1. Material and Construction
Material, construction and capacity change the starting point for a quote. Compare the actual model and lid alongside the decoration and packing rather than ranking materials by price alone.
2. Order Quantity (MOQ Tiers)
The applicable minimum depends on the selected model, colour and decoration. Send the quantity for each model and colour so we can confirm the MOQ, unit price and schedule for that specific combination.

3. Branding Method
Laser gives a single-tone mark; silk screen suits a small number of spot colours. UV and heat transfer can suit detailed or wraparound artwork on compatible surfaces. The chosen method, positions and quantity determine the quoted decoration cost.
4. Packaging
A polybag, colour box or gift box changes the packing arrangement and cost. Include any insert, barcode, hang tag and retail or FBA requirements in the quotation brief.
5. Tooling (Only for ODM)
An existing model usually avoids a new body mould, though decoration setup can still apply. A new shape has a separate development and tooling quotation; send the drawing and quantity so the moulds and approvals can be discussed.
6. Shipping
Freight depends on the packed dimensions, quantity and route. We can quote EXW Yongkang, FOB Ningbo or Shanghai, or discuss an applicable door-to-door arrangement. The carton plan gives the loading and per-unit freight calculation a clear basis.
Send the model, quantity, colour, artwork and packing for the quotation. We reply after reviewing your brief and confirm any remaining details before quoting the order.
Custom printed packaging is a separate, real line item in your unit cost
Send us your target retail price and quantity and we will build the quote backwards from there — and tell you honestly where you can save.
Frequently asked questions
What details should a custom bottle quotation show?▾
Ask for the model, quantity, colour treatment, logo method, packing and shipping basis to be identified. Separating these choices makes it easier to compare quotations for the same specification.
Does choosing an existing model change the cost plan?▾
An existing body avoids a new body-mould project, though decoration, colour and packing still depend on the order. A new shape needs a separate development and tooling discussion before a quotation can be compared.
How can order quantity affect unit and freight cost?▾
The total quantity and packed volume affect the cost calculation. A larger order can spread freight across more units, while the full order value and stock commitment also increase; compare both against your own sales plan.
What shipment information helps estimate delivered cost?▾
Share the destination, quantity, carton dimensions and preferred delivery term. We can compare the available route and delivery basis once the packed order details are confirmed.
How do material and construction affect a bottle quotation?▾
Material, construction and capacity change the starting point for a quote. Compare the actual model and lid alongside the decoration and packing rather than ranking materials by price alone.
How do quantity and customization affect this quotation?▾
The applicable minimum depends on the selected model, colour and decoration. Send the quantity for each model and colour so we can confirm the MOQ, unit price and schedule for that specific combination.
What factors drive the unit price of a custom water bottle order at MOQ 500 pcs?▾
Unit cost is driven by body material and weight (PP/Tritan vs single-wall or double-wall SUS 304/316 vs pure titanium), surface finish, number of logo colours/positions, individual retail box style, and shipping terms (EXW, FOB or DDP).
