Stainless steel: 304, 316 and what "18/8" means

Stainless models in the catalogue identify their material grade and construction. Share the use, capacity and budget and we can compare available 304 or 316 models with the lid, logo and packing you have in mind.

The material grade is named in the model specification. For drink-contact stainless components in this range, 304 is the usual starting point; your contact can explain the available grade for the chosen model.

Tritan and food-grade plastics

Tritan is a clear, lightweight copolyester made by Eastman and is BPA- and BPS-free. We also run PP (polypropylene) and AS/SAN bodies for different models and uses. We can help check the available reports for your chosen model and material and include the agreed documents with your order.

Glass: borosilicate vs soda-lime

Glass is an option for juice and infuser bottles. Borosilicate is used for its resistance to temperature changes; the intended drink, temperature and care guidance are confirmed for the chosen model. Our soda-lime items are for cold drinks. A protective silicone sleeve can be discussed with the packing and retail brief.

Bamboo: fibre and natural shell

The bamboo range has two constructions. A real bamboo shell surrounds a stainless or glass vessel. A bamboo-fibre model uses bamboo powder with a corn-starch binder, with no melamine in this formulation; it is rated to 70 °C and hand washing. Tell us the use and budget and we’ll help choose the material, artwork and care guidance. Explore the bamboo programme.

Bamboo-fibre bodies and bamboo-shell models offer different formats. Recycled-content packaging can be discussed separately through our preferred packaging supplier. Tell us the selected model and packing brief so we can identify the relevant product and supplier documents.

This bamboo-fibre bottle is part of our repeat-order range. We have worked on logo application for its matte, lightly textured surface. Send your artwork and we can show the print on a sample for you to approve. The existing bamboo-fibre report covers overall migration and heavy metals under EU 1935/2004. download the bamboo-fibre test report

Inner Ceramic Coating — Compare the Interior

An inner ceramic coating is applied to the inside of the stainless body by spraying and curing. We can help you compare a ceramic-lined model with a plain stainless interior on a sample. The existing Dongrui coating reports have their own test scope; we help identify the relevant documents for your order.

Choose by drink

Compare 304 or Tritan for water bottles, a ceramic-lined interior for coffee or tea, and 316 where the intended use calls for it. We confirm the selected model and sample with you.

Choose by weight

Tritan offers a lightweight plastic option. A double-wall vacuum model provides insulation. Compare the weight, capacity and interior on a sample for your programme.

Choose by budget

Entry → PP/AS plastic. Mid → 304 single or double wall. Premium → 316 or ceramic-lined.

Choose by story

Tell us the use, capacity and style you have in mind, together with your logo and packing brief. We can help compare suitable models and arrange a sample plan. For plastic bottle options, see BPA-free water bottles

Plan the model and sample: Share the intended use, capacity, preferred shape, logo and packing requirements. Your contact can help compare suitable models and confirm the chosen details in the quotation and approved sample.
