Will your travel mugs fit a car cup holder?▾
Depends on the model, and it is worth checking before you commit. Standard holders take 70 mm at the base, many take up to 74 mm, and some compact cars stop at 66 mm. Capacity is a poor guide: a tall 16 oz body can fit where a squat 12 oz one does not. Send us the target diameter with the enquiry and we will list the bodies that clear it, rather than you discovering the problem on the sample.
What is the difference between a screw-on lid and a slider?▾
A screw-on lid is the only type we would put in a bag with a laptop — fully sealed, but it needs two hands. A slider opens one-handed and sits low, but it is splash-resistant rather than leak-proof: tip it in a rucksack and you will have a problem. A flip lid is the middle ground — one-handed and better sealed than a slider, but it has more moving parts, and the gasket is the first thing to fail, usually after 12–18 months of daily use. Tell us whether your buyer carries or drives, and the lid choice follows from that.
Can you do mini travel mugs, or is there a minimum size?▾
We run from 8 oz / 220 ml upward — TL-1037, TL-1041, TL-1016 and TL-1019 are the compact bodies. One thing to plan for at this size: the lid becomes a large share of the unit cost. A sliding lid on an 8 oz body can be a third of the price of the finished piece, because the lid tooling does not get cheaper when the body gets smaller. If the budget is tight on a mini programme, a simple screw lid brings the price down more than any change to the body.
Do you supply travel mugs with silicone grips or sleeves?▾
Yes to both, and they solve different problems. A grip band gives a non-slip surface and a second brand colour without a second print pass. A full sleeve insulates the hand on single-wall bodies and protects against drops. The practical catch is print area: the band or sleeve covers part of the body, so artwork has to move above or below it — send the artwork with the model and we will mark up where it can sit before tooling.
Why do travel mugs start to smell after a few months?▾
Almost always the lid gasket, not the body. Coffee oils collect under the silicone seal, and if the gasket cannot be removed it cannot be cleaned. All our lids use removable gaskets for exactly this reason. For programmes carrying a warranty we supply spare gaskets at 3–5% of order quantity — that covers replacement requests for about two years and costs far less than handling returns.
Can you do Tritan or plastic travel mugs instead of steel?▾
Yes — Tritan bodies are lighter, cheaper and glass-clear if you want the drink visible. The trade-off is real though: a Tritan body cannot be vacuum insulated, so it is a cold-drink or short-carry product rather than something that keeps coffee hot for hours. We also make double-wall PP-shell bodies (TL-1033, TL-1034, TL-1036, TL-1037) which sit between the two: lighter than full steel, with a steel liner inside a plastic shell, insulated but not vacuum-grade.
What is the MOQ for wholesale coffee mugs?▾
500 pieces per design for in-stock colours, or 1,000 for a fully custom Pantone colour. You can mix builds and colours to reach a full order.
Can I order coffee mugs with my logo?▾
Yes. We decorate in-house with laser, silk-screen, UV or full-wrap print, Pantone-matched, with a pre-production sample before bulk.
Do you make insulated travel mugs as well as ceramic-look mugs?▾
Yes — double-wall vacuum travel mugs, single-wall stainless cups and ceramic-look (and inner-ceramic-coated) mugs are all available.
Are your coffee mugs food-safe and certified?▾
Yes — FDA 21 CFR, California Prop 65, LFGB and EU 1935/2004; reports on request.

What is the lead time for a bulk mug order?▾
Samples in 7–10 days, then about 30 days for bulk production after deposit and artwork approval, plus freight.
Why order travel mugs from Jupeng specifically?▾
Travel mugs are our origin, not a catalogue add-on. Jupeng began by manufacturing the inner vacuum liners that other factories built their travel mugs around, then grew into finished cups — so we understand insulation at the level most suppliers outsource. That history also left us with decades of tooling, including classic mug shapes that are out of production everywhere else.
Can you reproduce an old or discontinued travel mug shape?▾
Often, yes. Decades of travel-mug tooling means we still run classic moulds that other factories have retired. If a brand wants to bring back a discontinued café mug or match an old commuter silhouette, send us a photo — there is a good chance the exact mould is still on our floor, which avoids new tooling cost and lead time.
